Class A CDL Driver (Tri-Axle Dump Truck)

Pay Rate: $17-22 per hour based on experience

Position Summary

Mountaineer Employment Solutions is seeking an experienced and dependable Class A CDL Driver for our client in Hico, WV. This position involves hauling gravel, asphalt, and other low-grade materials throughout designated counties in West Virginia. Drivers will operate tri-axle dump trucks and must be comfortable with manual (stick shift) transmissions. This is a home-daily position with consistent hours and earning potential.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle, including tri-axle dump trucks

• Transport gravel, asphalt, and other materials to and from job sites

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment

• Ensure loads are properly secured and delivered safely

• Maintain accurate logs and comply with DOT regulations

• Communicate effectively with dispatch and site personnel

• Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting as needed

Requirements
 

• Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience

• Experience operating tri-axle dump trucks required

• Must be proficient in driving manual (stick shift) vehicles

• Mechanical experience

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Ability to work in varied weather and road conditions

• Must meet all DOT requirements (including drug screening and medical certification)

Work Schedule & Compensation
 

• Average 65 hours per week

• Home every night

• Competitive pay (based on experience)

• 5-day work bonus available
