Light Industrial Production Team Member

Mountaineer Employment has multiple openings at several industrial manufacturing plants in the Eleanor and Fraziers Bottom areas.

The Light Industrial Production Team Member is responsible for supporting the manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and packaging of automotive components, including ignition coils and thermostat units. This role ensures high-quality output, adherence to safety standards, and efficient production processes in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble automotive ignition coils, thermostats, and related components following standardized work instructions
• Operate light industrial equipment such as assembly fixtures, presses, torque tools, and testing stations
• Perform visual and functional inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications
• Load and unload materials and parts at workstations or automated equipment
• Package finished products according to customer and company requirements
• Maintain accurate production records, quality checks, and documentation
• Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or process deviations
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment (5S standards)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience is a plus (automotive preferred)
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
• Frequently lift and move materials up to 25–40 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform fine motor tasks
• Visual acuity for inspection of small components

Work Environment

• Light industrial manufacturing setting (climate-controlled or semi-controlled)
• Exposure to machinery, moving parts, and moderate noise levels
• Shift work may include first, second, third, and overtime as required

Compensation

• Pay rates vary based on Company and Shift available
• Overtime opportunities may be available based on production demand
